    Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12pm – 4.30pm

  • Studio in the Park, Markeaton Park Craft Village, Markeaton Lane, Derby, DE22 3BG.Thanks to Sheila, visitors calling in to the Craft Village expecting me still to be there can still buy my Local Honey from her Studio during her normal opening times.

Beekeeping Courses on apiculture 2017

 

There are two spaces left at Margaret Cowley’s Apiary on the autumn beekeeping course, this is the best way to learn Beekeeping, its just a few miles north of Derby City

Course Details

Each course runs from 9:15am to 12:15 pm and the course fee is £120. The maximum group size is 8.
Venue: Three Roofs Apiary, Quarndon, Derbyshire.
The course includes both theory and practical work and follows the syllabus for the BBKA Basic Assessment in Apiculture. It will suit people who are thinking of taking up beekeeping or have already started. A set of course notes is provided and students will receive follow-up practical and email support. Protective suits and veils will be provided.

A 15-hour course running over five Saturday mornings. There are three places available on this course. Dates for 2017 are:

  1. 5th August
  2. 12th August
  3. 19th August
  4. 26th August
  5. 2nd September

Nottingham Region Meetings

Arnold Hill Community Centre, Arnold, Nottingham, NG5 6NZ

Our Nottingham Region meetings are held in Arnold on the first Monday of the month (unless it is a Bank Holiday). We start at 7.30pm.  There is a charge of £2.00 for members and £3.00 for non-members. This includes tea/coffee and biscuits.

Newark Region Meetings

These are usually held at The Muskham Ferry, North Muskham, NG23 6HB
This group meet in a pub at 8pm and chat about bees over a pint.

BEEKEEPING COURSES CLWYD WALES

Steve Rose runs Beekeeping Courses from his small holding near Bala in Wales.
There are two courses.

INTRODUCTION TO BEEKEEPING –  Specifically for new or potential beekeepers

IMPROVERS’ COURSEFor existing but inexperienced beekeepers and those who wish to prepare for the BBKA or WBKA basic Assessment.
PLUS
Also held in North Wales are special courses  organised by BIBBA. Both practical and theory. These limited places fill very quickly ( because they are very good and well run by  knowledgable beekeepers), so book early to avoid disappointment. rose@bibba.com
